ABC Radio Recordings

ABC Classic FM

Many performances have been recorded at the Wangaratta Festival Of Jazz, going back to 1991, when Jim McLeod began recording concerts for 'Jazztrack' on ABC Classic FM.

Now Mal Stanley continues  Jim's policy of recording as many concerts as possible for later broadcast (as well broadcasting some concerts live-to-air).

ABC Digital Radio Jazz

In 2009 ABC Radio launched a brand new digital radio station called ABC Jazz which is set to become an important part of the Australian jazz community and will feature releases from the best jazz musicians in the country, and from around the world (of course many will be recorded at this year's Festival!)

DUOLOGUE

(Birdland BL009)

4 - Duologue

Pianist Mike Nock and saxophonist Dave Liebman have known each other for many years, and had the chance to catch up at Wangaratta in 2004. A suggestion that they play an unrehearsed concert of duets was gladly accepted, and the result is this warm, loose, inspired performance. Duologue won the 2007 ARIA Award for Jazz Album of the Year.
